General Information

The International Council of Air Shows held its first convention in 1967. Since then, the air show community has gathered every year to exchange ideas, conduct business and begin the process of planning the upcoming air show season. This year, the ICAS Convention will be held December 5, 6, 7 & 8 at Paris Las Vegas in Las Vegas, Nevada. CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE YOUR REGISTRATION.

Exhibit Hall

The ICAS exhibit hall features hours of exhibit sessions in our 60,000-square-foot hall containing every air show performer, support service provider and consultant you need to plan and conduct a spectacular air show.
Think of that. Subject matter experts. All in one place. All at the same time. All willing and able to share that expertise with you. 
Year in and year out, our convention delegates tell us that the exhibit sessions are the single most important part of the convention. That’s why we focus much of the organization’s attention on making it the best possible tool for introducing air show performers and support service providers to the event organizers who organize and conduct air shows.
And, to ensure that the activity on the exhibit hall floor gets the full attention of all our convention delegates, ICAS does not schedule any other educational sessions, meetings or events while the exhibit hall is open.

Education Sessions

ICAS will once again offer dozens of different educational sessions during the 2016 ICAS Convention. The topics and the format of this extensive education program have been fine-tuned during the nearly 50 years that ICAS has been running this important education event. Indeed, long before the ICAS Convention included a trade show and exhibit hall, ICAS members were attending this annual business meeting to meet, discuss and learn from one another.
Educational programming includes everything from a pre-convention, day-long, information-packed introductory workshop on air show air/ground operations to a series of hour-long break-out sessions conducted throughout the event. The education program for the 2016 ICAS Convention will include some of our perennially most popular sessions, as well as a large number of new programs designed to help you look at the air show industry from a somewhat different perspective.
We’ve organized the largest, most diverse education program in ICAS history with 51 separate sessions and more than 80 hours of instruction over four days. Even our most experienced convention veterans who don’t typically attend the education portion of the program will want to take a close look at the workshops, seminars, and break-out sessions we’ve scheduled this year.

Dress for the ICAS Convention

Generally, dress for the ICAS Convention is business casual.
Though there is no official policy within the military, with the exception of Flight Suit Day and Mess Dress for the Chairman’s Banquet, it is unusual for military representatives to wear their military uniforms.
On Flight Suit Day (date to be announced) all pilots and performers are encouraged to wear their flight suits.
The Chairman’s Banquet is a “black tie optional” event. Though many of our convention delegates choose to wear tuxedos (Mess Dress for military), and evening dresses, they are not required, and you will not feel out of place if you come in less formal attire. Tuxedo rental information and the ordering form is available to download HERE. Pre-ordered tuxedos are typically delivered to the bell desk for your convenience. After the event, return tuxedos to the bell desk on before noon and they will be collected by Tuxedo Junction at no extra charge.


Paris Las Vegas will be the host hotel for #ICAS16. Paris's state-of-the-art conference center includes over 60,000 square feet of space and offers easy access and great flexibility. The ambiance is elegant yet relaxed and removed from the bustle of activity in the hotel.
The hotel’s meeting space is ideally suited for the ICAS Convention. Large, open meeting space concentrated in our own corner of the hotel will ensure that ICAS Convention delegates will be able to conduct their business comfortably, easily and with a comparative minimum of walking.
ICAS has negotiated a $129 per night room rate at Paris Las Vegas for the 2016 convention. Members staying at Paris Las Vegas under the ICAS room block WILL NOT be required to pay the otherwise mandatory Resort Fee of $32 plus tax ($35.84) per night. However, delegates may opt in to the Resort Fee to receive the benefit of unlimited local calls, admission for two to the fitness center and two daily in-room internet connections.
Also, convention delegates staying in the ICAS room block will receive a $100 hotel credit applied to their hotel bill. The credit will appear on your hotel bill upon check out. Delegates staying at other hotels or staying at Paris Las Vegas, but not in the ICAS room block, will not receive the $100 credit on their hotel bill.
