| Almost no one anticipated the dramatic impact of sequestration on the air show business. But, next time, none of us will have that excuse. In this special, double session, we will focus on how air shows around North America reacted to sequestration, the success of those efforts, and how our collective experiences will impact air show planning in 2014 and beyond. The session will include presentations on World War II-themed shows, car shows, ballooning events, fireworks and pyrotechnics, and midway/carnival-type rides, and how they can be used to complement and supplement air show entertainment. Following these presentations, session speakers and the audience will take part in a town hall-style discussion on what worked, what didn't and why the experiences of 2013 should permanently improve air show entertainment.
