Although the process can sometimes be mysterious and convoluted, the manner in which a performer sells his/her services to prospective event organizers nearly always determines how successful those efforts will be. In the first of two sessions on marketing for performers, you'll learn some of the lessons learned by those who have been successful in the business for many years. You'll learn about the techniques and tactics that work and you'll hear about the most effective tools that you can use to help market your services to show organizers. You'll learn about the importance of professionalism, branding, and pricing. You'll hear what tactics work and why. And you'll learn the importance of building a reputation as not just a performer, but as a solution. (Note: this first introductory hour will be followed by a second hour that addresses more advanced concepts in performer marketing.)
