Corporate sponsorships, the support of local government and political officials, and strong community involvement are all critical elements of a successful and sustainable civilian air show.

This session will focus on the basics of economic impact studies, and how
-- if properly structured -- they can be used to retain corporate sponsorship, build political support and encourage community involvement by quantifying the financial benefits of these popular events that attract large numbers of people/customers to hundreds of small communities each year. The session will feature specific examples from two recent events and provide tips on how to organize and structure your own economic impact study.
