In this session, representatives from the FAA, Transport Canada and the Canadian military will discuss the status of the initiative to standardize/harmonize air show regulations and guidance so we achieve an equivalent level of safety and our procedures reflect the same requirements whenever possible. The United States and Canada began this initiative several years ago as a tool to help performers who fly in both countries. Many changes have been implemented with great success and this final phase will address the remaining target areas. Regulatory authorities will report on what will change, what will not, and when the standardization project will likely be completed. This session will also be your opportunity to ask the panel your most pressing questions about cross-border initiatives now and in the future. |
