Tragedy and past experiences have taught us that event organizers play a critical role in helping to maintain performer safety. In this session, we'll discuss the steps event organizers can take and the programs that they can implement to ensure that risks are mitigated and performers are given the greatest possible opportunity to fly safely and entertainingly at your air show. Specific topics to be discussed include the nature of typical performer distractions, the logistical and physiological needs of performers, and the need - among performers - to please, and how that can impact safety.
