| Not unlike a construction project, software development initiative or creation of a youth soccer league, the organization and execution of an air show is largely a project management exercise. Dozens of details – large and small – must be identified, organized and executed in a timely and efficient manner to ensure that the air show happens safely, entertainingly, profitably and reliably. And yet, the skills, methods and disciplines of professional project managers are seldom used to tackle the challenges of pulling off an air show. In this session, a certified project management professional with intimate familiarity with the air show business will provide insight into the strategies, tools, tactics and processes of professional project management and how they can be applied to the unique challenges of running an air show.
