Regan Lands Safely Following Engine Failure

September 9th, 2011
Bryan Regan, lead pilot for the AeroShell Aerobatic Team, landed safely after an engine failure during a pre-show media flight this morning (Friday, September 9) at the Winston-Salem Air Show in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. According to early reports, Regan was in the traffic pattern at Winston-Salem’s Smith Reynolds Airport when he had a complete engine failure. He declared an emergency and landed without incident. Kudos to Regan for his cool-headed and professional management of a potentially dangerous in-flight emergency.
