Blue Angels Announce New Boss for 2013-2014 | May 8th, 2012 |
Commander Thomas “Diesel” Frosch will lead the U.S. Navy Blue Angels during the 2013 and 2014 air show seasons. A Michigan native and U.S. Naval Academy graduate, Frosch was most recently the commanding officer of Strike Fighter Squadron 146 at NAS Lemoore, California. He has had multiple combat tours, graduated from the U.S. Naval Test Pilot School, and attended the Naval War College where he earned a master’s degree in national security and strategic studies. Frosch will officially relieve current team lead Captain Greg McWherter on November 4, during a change-of-command ceremony at NAS Pensacola, Florida. | |
