| In this session, following a sit-down lunch sponsored by Jacquie B Airshows and the Air National Guard, we’ll hear from three of the “everyday heroes†that fought the air war in Europe during World War II. In his book, "The Greatest Generation," Tom Brokaw argues that the World War II generation's perseverance through difficult times is a testament to their extraordinary character. That stubborn refusal to quit marked not just their days in combat, but also their approach to life during the subsequent 70 years. Moderator Matt Jolley will help these three men recount their experiences in the air during World War II, and then talk with them about how those experiences shaped and influenced the rest of their lives. |
